Boarding |
How long can my dog board with you? |
A dog can stay with us up to a month. Anytime after a month will require a deposit to be put down beforehand. |
What type of services will my dog receive when staying with you? |
Your dog will be able to play in the playroom all day with other dogs; they will also be taken on walks if requested. At night and after feeding times the dogs will have downtime in the cages to allow them to sleep or relax. The greatest perk for a dog who is a boarder is their ability to socialize with the other dogs on the premises. |
When do I have to pick up my dog from boarding? |
Dogs can be picked up from boarding anytime before noon. If they are picked up afterwards an additional charge for the daycare of that day will be processed. |
What sort of things will I need to bring with me for my dog (food, toys, bedding etc)? |
We do provide the dogs with food if you wish, but you can bring any of your food from home (please only bring enough to feed your dog for the days it is here. Extra will be discarded.) Also you are permitting to bring a blanket to make the dog feel warmer and more at ease. |
Is there someone here overnight to watch them? |
There is no one here overnight to monitor the dogs. The dogs are put into their individual cages with everything they need and are tended to in the morning. Most of the dogs just sleep anyway so there is no real reason to need someone here. If there does happen to be an emergency employees are on call to come and help. |
Do they sleep in cages? |
At night time the dogs are put into our newly installed T-Kennels. Each kennel has enough space for practically any sized dog to move around in, a drainage system for easy cleaning, and guillotine doors in case the dog needs more space or needs to visit a friend for a moment. |
Can I apply my daycare credits towards my dog's overnight stay? |
Yes and No. Credits may not be applied to the boarding rate but on the day of pick up if you are checking out past 12P, then a credit can be applied for the daycare charge that you will incur. |

I can’t show up for my reservation and I have no way of calling to cancel, what will happen? |
Unfortunately there is a small “no-show” fee applied to that kind of scenario. It is best that you do call and let us know if you are unable to show up for your reservation. |
How often are the dogs in cages? |
The dogs are in cages during feeding time or when they need to relax or calm down. If they are spending the night then at closing they are placed inside cages until the morning. Besides that they have free run of the playroom. |
Is there any down time for the dogs? |
There are downtimes for dogs around feeding to allow their stomachs to settle. Besides that, we cater to the dogs needs on an individual basis. If a dog has health problems or is too young or too old to play for extended periods of time, they are given an adequate downtime to allow them to calm down and recharge. |
How large are the playgroups? |
The playgroups capacity depends upon the amount of dogs and supervisors in the facility at the time and the size and temperament of each dog. We create the playgroups in such a way where it is not overcrowded and each dog receives the care it needs. |
What is your dog to supervisor ratio? |
The ratio is dependant on the personality and needs of each dog. We take special precautions to monitor the dogs and make sure each one is receiving the attention and supervision it requires. |
Can my friend pick up my dog? And would they have to pay? |
Any person you have authorized on your account can pick up your dog. Be sure to tell them your account password so that we know you have personally authorized them to pick up your dog. They will not have to pay because your account can be charged automatically. |
My dog is aggressive on a leash but does fine on a dog run, can they still come to daycare? |
Every dog is allowed in our daycare after they have gone through our temperament test and have proven to the trainer that they can be around humans and other dogs without showing signs of aggression. |
Are the dogs taken on outside walks? |
Walks are not included with the normal daycare rate; however the owner can request that their dogs be taken on walks during our scheduled walk times for an additional charge. |
I just got a new puppy, can I bring him/her to the Paw Stop? |
Any dog can come and be a part of daycare or boarding. The only requirement is for them to have their rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations which can be given to the dog as soon as it has reached four months in age. |
What type of vaccinations does my dog need? |
We require for all dogs to have at least their rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations before they are allowed to be with other dogs. |
My dog is not spayed/neutered; can they still come to daycare? |
We cannot except un-spayed dogs for daycare. They can however board with us but will unfortunately be kept separate from the rest of the dogs. Un-neutered dogs are allowed in daycare if they do not show signs of aggression. However, a small fee will be applied for general clean-up and monitoring of the dog. |
What time can I pick up or drop off my dog? |
Dogs are allowed to be picked up and dropped off anytime during the scheduled operating hours of the store. |
Are there any toys in daycare? Or should I bring my own? |
We provide a wide range of toys for the dogs to play with in the daycare facility. You are however allowed to bring a blanket but please refrain from bringing your own toys. |
Are there any dog breeds you would not take for day care? |
Dogs personality and temper are products of their upbringing and treatment rather than the type of breed. Here at the Paw Stop we accept every breed of dog. Every new dog goes through a temperament test before they go into the daycare room to ensure the safety and security of humans and dogs alike. |
Do you feed the dogs while they are in daycare? |
Normally dogs here are not fed, however if you make special request they can be fed with house food, for a small charge, or with food that you have brought yourself. |
